This has become my favourite app after Wikicamps.
If you do not have a EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) But have phone reception, this is the next best thing.
It can make a call to 000 while giving you your exact GPS co-ordinates to give to the operator.
The Emergency+ app is a free app developed by Australia's emergency services and Government and industry partners.
The app uses GPS functionality built into smart phones to help a Triple Zero (000) caller provide critical location details required to mobilise emergency services.

If your looking for fuel while travelling or camping you need this app.
Fuel Map is a crowd-sourced database list of petrol stations and fuel prices from all across Australia. All station information is added and edit by users like yourself. You can also add current fuel prices which are then shared with other users of Fuel Map.
Fuel Map sources fuel prices from both FuelWatch and FuelCheck.
Locations of petrol stations are shown on the map as a branded pin with the last known fuel price displayed above.

The official Victorian Recreational Fishing Guide app from Fisheries Victoria (Department Of Environment and Primary Industries) has all the information you need to know to fish in Victoria.
The first of its kind in Australia, the free application features colour illustrations of more than 70 species found in Victoria's waterways.
Anglers can identify their catch and confirm size and bag limits, and access information on permitted equipment and closed seasons.

Very simple app for working out the ratio for 2-stroke mixtures.
Great app to have on hand for generators or chainsaws.
Just type in the ratio (example 40:1) add the litres you want and it gives you the exact ml of oil you need to add.
Supports US Gallon, Imperial Gallon and Litre ratio calculations. Touch the on screen ratio to change it. Ad-free and no permissions required.

I wouldnt call this a bible for survival, especially in Australia, but it is an interesting read and knowledge to have on hand.
This is a Survival Manual which is fully working offline (which is important to survive in a case of some extreme situation)
It contains info on how to make fire, build a shelter, find food, heal and other useful content in a case of emergency.
